Missing the Gingerbread Latte on Starbucks's Holiday Menu? Here's How to Still Order One

There are a few staple holiday flavors I can never get enough of: peppermint, eggnog, and gingerbread. Thankfully, Starbucks always uses these to come up with the most crave-worthy specialty drinks every winter, but if you're a fan of their holiday menu, you might have noticed one missing. The beloved Gingerbread Latte was left off this year's lineup, and after a couple of weeks of feeling distraught and attempting to make our own at home — which we all know isn't quite the same — we learned how to order our own version.

The Gingerbread Latte is a fan favorite because it's like drinking a cookie from a cup, and despite it now being on the secret menu, I promise it isn't nearly as complicated to order as other secret menu items. I also highly recommend pairing it with a cute Snowman Cookie to balance the spice with sugar.

If you aren't familiar with the Starbucks secret menu or are a little nervous ordering off it, just know that essentially what you're doing is customizing a coffee order with already existing ingredients. So, if you're OK with being patient and extremely thankful and kind to the baristas who take your order, you'll have your beloved Gingerbread Latte in no time!

Here's how to order it:

  1. Order a grande Cinnamon Dolce Latte.
  2. Add two pumps of white mocha syrup.
  3. Add a pump of chai tea concentrate.
  4. Ask for a few shakes of nutmeg mixed in.
  5. For some added spice, you can ask for a sprinkle of nutmeg.

Adjust the order to your own liking, especially if you're a coffee-lover and want an extra shot of espresso or another pump of chai concentrate for a deeper flavor of spice. You can also try this out hot or iced. Enjoy!
